The city is full of amazing restaurants, bars, beaches, and activities that are “must-do’s”. While we certainly think it’s great to hit the hot spots (think Rainbow Row, Stars Rooftop, King Street shopping),we are here to give you a few pro-tips for local businesses that you might not know about, but will truly enhance your Charleston experience!

Say Charleston

In keeping up with those “must-do’s”, a walk around Charleston’s downtown historic district is essential to understanding why it is just so dang charming here. This is where Liz Legare Duren comes in. She combines her deep love of Charleston’s majestic history with her love of portrait photography through Charleston’s first walking tour that has a photoshoot build in! Your group is treated to a 90-minute tour of the historic district while Liz shares stories of its past. The group will pause at beautiful doorways, iron gates, window boxes and cobbled alleys for stunning portraits. This is the perfect opportunity for you to grab some truly insta-worthy pics! Check out Liz’s work at www.Tours-charleston.com.

Saltwater Cycle

Of course, Saltwater Cycle is a must do as well. We are so passionate about showing guests the city by boat tour. Our logo says it all-”Float. Pedal. Party. ” Our one hour and forty minute cruise lets you experience our paddle boat while you cycle through the waterways of Charleston and see some of those gorgeous mansions everyone raves about. Dolphins are almost always out to play, with the occasional sea turtle or manatee! Aside from the natural beauty of the water and its playmates, our staff is truly full of entertainers. They keep the music bumpin’, teach your group new drinking games, and are pro’s at taking the perfect cheers boomerang. Check out our site to book your trip at www.saltwatercycle.com!

Bag Valet

So you’ve got a Saltwater Cycle cruise booked for a Sunday afternoon (yay!), but have to check-out of your AirBnB at 11 AM. What do you do with your luggage until heading to the airport? BagValet is a luggage storage solution that assists travelers by holding their luggage between that awkward span of time check-out and flights!

Daily storage for up to 12 hours is just $25/person and includes pick-up and curbside delivery. Luggage storage includes one standard size suitcase and one personal item. Each bag is secured with a tamper proof lock upon pick-up and insured (up to $200) within their possession.

Give them a shout at 843-737-3116 or email info@charlestonbagvalet.com! Let them take the “lug” out of luggage!

La Booz

It’s now time for your Saltwater Cycle cruise! No way to pick up drinks? No problem. Our Saltwater Cycle cruises are all BYOB, and we have the perfect drink for you, delivered right to the boat. La Booz is Charleston’s first mobile frose bar. The La Booz team provides you with pre-packaged frose in adult sized “capri-sun” bags. They provide a special Saltwater Cycle partnership package of $10.00 per bag, and they throw in a little something special for your party! Email laboozchs@gmail.com to pre-order your drink package before the big weekend!

Chucktown Brew Tours

For our last stop on your guide to a wonderfully local lowcountry weekend, we recommend something BRAND NEW! Saltwater Cycle is excited to announce the launch of our sister company, Chucktown Brew Tours! Charleston has a booming brewery district that we are tapping in to (pun intended). Our 18-passenger party bus takes groups to three breweries in the “brewery district”, just minutes from downtown Charleston. On the way to each brewery, our host will teach your group about the history and craft behind the brews to get you excited (with Lizzo bumpin’ in the background of course). Each stop lasts 45 minutes and includes one pint. You may even get a behind-the-scenes look from some of the owners! Check out our site at www.chucktownbrewtours.com and join us as we journey through the growing brewery district @chucktownbrewtours.

Now that you’ve gotten our best insider tips on how to live like a true Charlestonian for the weekend (yes, we really do live like this), give us a call and prepare for one epic trip. Cheers!
