Charleston Bike Taxi Cabs
Bike taxis are a Charleston staple around the Peninsula! Look out for a person on a bicycle pulling a cart behind them hanging around King Street or the Market area. The “pedi-cabs” hold 2-3 passengers and can take you almost anywhere Downtown. The drivers are always great company and down for a chat. We suggest taking them on your way to dinner or the bars! They take cash and Venmo to make the experience as easy as possible.

Charleston Water Taxi cabs
One of the best ways to get around Charleston while being able to see or stop at some of the local must-do’s is by taking a Water Taxi. The Charleston Water Taxi can get you to the Historic Market Street, the South Carolina Aquarium, and all the way to Mt. Pleasant to Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum. You can also stay on board for an inexpensive and quick loop around the Harbor! The Water Taxi has seasonal hours but generally runs a continuous loop between 9 am and 6 pm.

Horse-drawn carriage
One of the more informational and historical ways to see the historic area of Charleston is by taking a horse-drawn carriage tour. Tours take 3 different routes, and you can see attractions like The Charleston City Market, pre-Civil War houses along the Battery, Rainbow Row, churches, courtyards and gardens, and the Cooper River Waterfront! Tours run every few minutes or you can schedule a tour ahead of time!

They are conveniently located around the Peninsula, and you can pay online using a credit card, dropping them back off at any location. This way, your crew can cruise around while shopping or grabbing a bite to eat, without walking several miles in the heat! Make sure to lock the bike each time you stop!
